The 50 buildings drawing by French-Tunisian calligraffiti artist, El Seed, honours spirit of perseverance in the Zaraeeb community of Nashiyat Nasser, Cairo, 2016

12.05.2021

An overwhelming public art, finished by early 2016, and introduced beauty to the neighbourhood while enhancing its community’s pride.

That project captures El Seed’s ambition, who, as described on his website, uses Arabic calligraphy and a distinctive style to spread messages of peace, unity, and to underline the commonalities of human existence; unifying communities, redressing stereotypes, communicating his key principals of love, respect and tolerance – the drive to highlight it these very days – an astounding work.

El Seed was named a Global Thinker in 2016 by Foreign Policy for this very project.
